Infrared Inspections

An infrared inspection utilizes a portable infrared camera to thermograph (photograph) certain areas of a building to help identify hidden problems related to air, heat and moisture. It is by no means the ultimate test as it only measures small temperature variations. To identify what causes these temperature variation an inspector has to use some more traditional equipment such as blower doors and moisture meters.

It must be stressed that this type of inspection can only be successfully performed under certain climatic conditions and should only be performed by a professionally trained thermographer.
